Our ceremony site is the Lucas Homestead, which is about 45 minutes west of Denver. Afterwards (in lieu of a traditional reception) we are taking everyone to the Rockies vs Brewers baseball game at Coors Field in Denver. After the game, we are inviting everyone back into the mountains (about an hour drive) to a house in Georgetown, CO that we've rented for the week, where we'll have music, drinks, and a burrito bar set up for self-service.
We understand that the itinerary of the day involves quite a lot of travel. We also understand that an hour-long drive back into the mountains after a full day of wedding+baseball is not something that is appealing to everyone. So, if you are not up for going to the Georgetown house after the game and would prefer to stay in Denver for the rest of the night, we completely get it.
But, if you do plan on coming to the Georgetown house after the game, there are a few options for how to get there:
1) You can drive yourself or carpool with others. Please make sure whoever drives is completely sober- the mountain roads can be tricky, and having any of our guests get into an accident or get killed would REALLY put a damper on the day.
2) We've chartered a bus that will pick up our guests from the Homestead after the ceremony to take us to Coors Field, and then take us to the Georgetown house after the game. You are welcome to ride the bus with us, as long as there is room.
(You will most likely have ridden in a car to get to the Homestead. If you ride the bus with us, you will have to go get your car later that night or the next morning (if you end up crashing on the floor at the Georgetown house, so be it). We'll have a few kind folks/roped-in family members to shuttle folks back and forth.)
